Critiques by Al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani regarding Imam al-Nawawi concerning prayer times and the Adhan

Abstract

This study examines Ibn Hajar al-ʿAsqalānī’s critiques of Imam al-Nawawī in Al-Talkhīṣ al-Ḥabīr. It collects and analyzes these critiques to clarify Ibn Hajar’s methodology in hadith criticism and legal evaluation. The study concludes that his critiques reflect objective scholarly analysis and significantly contributed to the development of hadith and Islamic jurisprudence
