The Persian influence also spread to systems of government and deep philosophical meanings. Religious research also developed greatly in this era. The sciences of interpretation, hadith, jurisprudence, and theology emerged, as religious sciences became the cornerstone of Islamic thought in confronting the incoming intellectual and philosophical challenges. Finally, Indian culture contributed to the enrichment of astronomical, mathematical, and medical sciences, and many Sanskrit texts were translated into Arabic.
