Dr. Mohammed Amin Almaiah Appointed Editor-in-Chief of SHIFRA Journal
Peninsula Press is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Mohammed Amin Almaiah as Editor-in-Chief of the peer-reviewed journal SHIFRA, a scholarly journal dedicated to cybersecurity, digital systems, and emerging information technologies.

Dr. Almaiah is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at the University of Jordan, one of the region’s leading academic institutions.

Dr. Almaiah is internationally recognized for his research in cybersecurity, cyber-risk assessment, mobile applications security, and network security. He has been ranked among the top 2% of scientists worldwide from 2020 to the present, reflecting his significant scholarly impact.
He holds a PhD in Computer Science (Cybersecurity), along with a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems. His academic and leadership experience includes serving as Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology at Aqaba University of Technology (2023–2024), in addition to academic appointments at King Faisal University and Al-Baha University in Saudi Arabia.
The appointment of Dr. Almaiah marks a significant milestone for SHIFRA, strengthening the journal’s commitment to academic excellence, rigorous peer review, and high-impact research. Under his editorial leadership, the journal aims to expand its international reach and enhance its scientific standing in the global research community.
