Stylistic techniques in Tamim Barghouti's poetry

Abstract

This research examines a group of stylistic techniques that abound in Tamim Barghouthi’s poetry, such as intertextuality, invocation of religious heritage, symbolism, the use of artistic images, and compositional structures in it. It demonstrated the poet's superior ability in his use of language and its energies, the technique of repetition that revealed his emotions and gave the poetic text an attractive musical tone for the recipient's feelings, and the technique of intertextuality reflected the poet's cultural backgrounds, especially religious ones.It is these stylistic techniques that formed a distinct imprint in Barghouti’s poetry, and made it a different model, as the study noted that the technique of intertextuality took up an important area of ​​his poetry, and the technique of the artistic image fused the poet’s emotions and made it a key to entering the poem and its world, and revealing its mysteries .The research began with an introduction and was divided into two sections: The first section was entitled to define the concept of stylistic techniques and introduce the life and poetry of Tamim Barghouti. As for the second section, it was entitled to stylistic techniques in his poetry, and it dealt with three topics: the first of which talked about intertextuality and recalling religious heritage. The second dealt with the idea of ​​symbolism and pictorial resemblance. As for the third section, it worked on monitoring the rhythmic structures in the poet’s poetry, and the research ended with a conclusion that included the most prominent findings he reached, and a list of the sources and references he used.
