Every journal of Peninsula Publishing Press is fully open access. This is Gold open access: the article is free to read from the day it is published, and the cost of publication is met by an article processing charge and by stakeholder funds, not by subscriptions.
What readers may do
Anyone may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search or link to the article, and use it for any lawful purpose, including commercial use and text and data mining, under the terms of the licence. No subscription or registration is required. This matches the definition of open access in the Budapest Open Access Initiative.
Licence
Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0). The legal code is at creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/legalcode. The user must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the licence, and indicate if changes were made. No additional legal terms or technical measures may be applied that restrict what the licence allows.
Authors keep the copyright. On acceptance they grant Peninsula Publishing Press a non-exclusive licence to publish the article first and to distribute it under CC BY 4.0. Reuse of the published article does not need permission from the publisher. The details are on Rights and Permissions.
Each journal’s own statement
The same licence is stated on each journal’s Open Access page:
If a figure, table or passage inside an article is not the authors’ own work, its caption states the source and any different licence. Reuse of that item follows the licence or permission attached to it, not automatically CC BY 4.0.
How publication is paid for
There is no charge to readers or libraries. From 30 October 2026, publication costs are supported by an article processing charge of USD 250 per accepted article, as set out under Author Fees, and by stakeholder funds of Peninsula Publishing L.L.C., as set out under Business Model. A waiver, where granted, does not change the licence or the access terms.
Self-archiving
Because every article is published under CC BY 4.0, there is no embargo. Authors may deposit the preprint, the accepted manuscript and the published version immediately. See Archiving.
